    Bill 3: The Mobile Home Sites Tenancies Amendment Act would give tenants and landlords of mobile home sites access to the same dispute resolution service for tenancy disputes that renters and landlords of apartments and houses have, instead of having to go through the courts.

    The Residential Tenancy Dispute Resolution Service (RTDRS) is faster, less formal and less expensive than going through the courts. It also relieves some of the burden on the court system.

    Bill 2, the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Amendment Act, 2020, proposes five amendments to the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act to modernize a number of Alberta’s liquor laws.

    These include removing unnecessary restrictions on liquor sales, promotes responsible drinking in parks, and cuts unnecessary red tape.

    Bill 1: The Critical Infrastructure Defence Act has been introduced to protect essential infrastructure from damage or interference caused by blockades, protests or similar activities, which can cause significant public safety, social, economic and environmental consequences.

    The bill would build on existing trespassing laws to create offences for trespassing on, destroying, damaging, and obstructing the use or operation of any essential infrastructure.
